Newborn Baby Mason is gorgeous but I am not surprised!   He has inherited the great genes from his parents and grandparents.

A small world!

I have known Baby Masons’ maternal grandmother for a good few years and even though I didn’t know her daughters well, I obviously knew about them both.  Strangely enough, I  have also met Baby Masons’ paternal grandmother as she is the sister of a friend and Sean is the cousin of my sons good friend.  Imagine my surprise when I realised that these two separate friends had become family.

I was very stoked when I was asked to photograph this gorgeous little man!  I couldn’t wait to meet him.

His parents, Sean and Jennifer are completely in love with this little dude!  It’s beautiful to see!

These two gorgeous parents are absolute naturals and are completely relaxed with being new parents.

No, I am positive that that is not a wind smile!  How perfect is he?  Gosh, no wonder he has everyone wrapped around his finger!  He is just so adorable and so absolutely relaxed!

Beautiful Jennifer and her gorgeous boy!  I think she is totally smitten.  He definitely has all the ladies twisted around his little finger!granny, mommy and baby

Granny Gusti is also totally bowled over!  She told me the other night that she is getting withdrawal symptoms if she hasn’t seen him!a tender moment with mommy and son

Such a beautiful natural mommy!  Jennifer seems to be so comfortable this tiny baby.  It’s hard to believe that he is her firstborn! And he was only born 11 days previously at Louis Leipoldt Hospital!

]]> Twins ….double the trouble but double the joy!  I met these two adorable little babes when their Mom and Dad decided to come to Cape Town for a holiday!  Family photography introduces me to so many families from across the globe.  Moneeb & Aliya and their beautiful babes are from Manchester in the United Kingdom ….although they knew Cape Town pretty well as they had both worked here at Groote Schuur many years ago ….Aliya as a doctor and Maneeb as a scientist.  It was interesting to chat to this family …as these two Medical geniuses battled for many years to have these two munchkins ….it just shows …sometimes even with all the knowledge …..you still have to leave it in the hands of a Higher Power!  And after a long wait ….they were blessed  with a double dose of joy!  It was lovely to meet your lovely little family, Moneeb & Aliya ….wishing you a safe trip home …and hopefully Cape Town will see your family again in the near future!

]]> Wow …what a day we chose to do this family photoshoot.  We had already postponed their session once before because of bad weather and had almost waited a year to get the whole family together again…but this time they decided to embrace the Cape of Storms and have some fun with the shoot.  I love doing family photography as I either see how my own family was or how my own family will develop ….and with this fun group …I saw my own family ….one day my family will also be extended with daughter-in-laws and future daughter-in-laws….and I cant wait …it will be fun not to be the only woman amongst all the men.  Although I am sure Wilna & Vaz are waiting eagerly for the patter of tiny feet …they seem ready to become grandparents too ….but all in good time!  I must say I loved colour palette of the stormy Cape ….something a bit different …nature at her best!

]]> I met this gorgeous Mama-to-be earlier this year when I did a boudoir shoot for her.   I totally enjoyed the experience of photographing her as there are so many facets to Shelley …she is an interesting and gorgeous minx.  So when she contacted me to photograph her maternity shoot, I was beyond excited as I knew Shelley would make it a visual feast and without a doubt she exceeded all my expectations.  Firstly, she organised that we did the shoot at the stunning Majeka House in Stellenbosch which was an absolutely gorgeous backdrop to this shoot and I have to say one of Stellenbosch’s most hidden gems!!!!  Secondly, brought along her delightful husband, Oscar …who is totally cool and super patient and didnt mind to much about being in front of the camera …..(I am sure having the rugby on in the background helped!!) And thirdly, Shelley …..just looked gorgeous in the most stunning outfits …I have to say, I loved the blue dress ….it suited her to perfection in all her maternal glory!  And her second dress could not have been more perfect with the backdrop of the flamingo ….a perfect marriage …just like I felt Shelley and Oscar were …a perfect fit!  I can’t wait to meet their little princess …and I cant wait to see Shelly and Oscar as parents ….just know they are going to be awesome!

Definitely a Virgin Daiquiri!!!

I first met Tas, Dylan and Jack when I did Jack’s Newborn photography three months ago.  Tas asked me if I would be available when her sister, Yasmin and her little boy , Zane, came to visit from Hong Kong as she thought it would be really cute to take photos of the cousins who were born exactly a year apart.  Jack was a month early and by being a month early ..he arrived on Zanes’ first birthday …how special was that!  I have to say this is one gorgeous family!  The little boys are just so cute …as cute as little buttons.  Zane is the cutest 15month old and Jack is really so precious ….I love the photograph where it looked like he was giving me such a charming smile.  Zane is a normal active toddler and hardly ever sat still …but he gave us lots of laughs and giggles ….I especially laughed when i saw him do the laundry …apparently thats his favourite pastime …he loves loading the washing machine with all the dirty clothes and then taking them out and giving the clothes a good shake ….no lie …go look …I have captured it!  These family moments were really precious as they dont get to see each other too often ….oceans and continents separate but thank goodness for technology …as Skype makes it so much easier these days!  It has definitely made the world a smaller place!  Tas reckons i am now their family photographer …..I really hope so …cos i would love to see Jack become a gorgeous toddler like his cousin …these two boys are going to be heartbreakers!
