A love story!

Love stories always touch my heart …I am a genuine romantic although I dont admit it to many!  But a genuine love story always makes me feel warm and fuzzy on the inside and puts me right with the whole world.  Cos sometimes if it wasnt for love ..then what would be the point!  When Mary-Ann contacted me and explained that this was a second time wedding for her and Trevor and that they had known each for forty years ..my interest was awakened.  Their story is actually quite beautiful.  Mary-Anne and Trevor moved into Eversdal with their respective young families and became neighbours forty years ago.  Mary-Anne and Trevors wife became good friends and hence a family friendship commenced and both families watched each others children grow up over the years.  But life moves on and sadly Mary-Anne lost her husband 10 years ago and life changed for her and so she moved on with her life and set up a house in Pinehurst and made some wonderful new friends and enjoyed watching her children become parents and enjoyed becoming a grandmother.  Then sadly, 18 months ago, Trevors wife passed away and Mary-Anne offered support to Trevor ..as friends do!  But about 5 months ago, their friendship started to change and they realised that they had feelings for each other and that they had fallen in love!  And as they both know that life can be cut short …they decided to grab this second chance at love with both hands.  What was really precious for me …was watching how happy their children were for them!  And how special to watch the grandchildren participate in this special day!  Trevor and Mary-Anne were blessed to have special friends offer their house in the Southern Suburbs for their wedding.  A beautiful grand lady of a house that was truly a magnificent backdrop to their special day!

What I took away from their special day …is that ..you are never too old to fall in love!
