Wedding : Jonkershuis Groot Constantia

Simone & Jens met each other for the first time when they were young teenagers on holiday camp! Sparks definitely flew but Jens didn’t quite make the right moves at that stage! And like Simones’ Maid of Honour said …the stars were not aligned for these two lovers at that stage! Both went off in different directions and their lives didn’t collide again until good old Facebook brought them together! Simone had left South Africa to go seek her fame and fortune on distant shores. Jens, on the other hand, had married and started a family. But one day …Simone did a facebook search …and found out that Jens was recently single..so she took the inititiative and contacted him! And I believe, that was the start of a real long distance relationship …and for a couple of years …it was all about passionate meet ups in Airports and snatched moments until they both realised that their stars had aligned and that they both wanted more …and they weren’t going to let things slip through their fingers again!

So on an overcast day in January ….Simone put on a beautiful dress with a beautiful veil and in a beautiful, traditional ceremony became Jens’s wife! The wedding was gorgeous …a beautiful, classic wedding! I have yet to come across a bride who embraced everything about being a bride …Simone loved her dress and veil and it showed! She was a playful and a joyous bride and Jens partnered her perfectly!

Jonkershuis, Groot Constantia was a perfect backdrop to their gorgeous wedding! And the decor was just absolutely gorgeous! I loved her cathedral bouquet ….it was just absolutely glorious!

The romantic in me was really touched by their story …..when the stars are aligned …all great love stories come together!
