I have known Shelley since Zara was a tiny little bean in her tummy ..and its been a wonderful journey to watch this beautiful lady turn into a beautiful, warm, loving mommy! It was so much fun for me to see the world through a childs eyes for this Durbanville shoot! Zara’s expressions and excitement when the bubbles were blown was just priceless. It goes to show that children dont need the most expensive toys …..simple things made fun by those they love is all that a child ever needs. Time, attention and love …what every child deserves ..unfortunately not every child gets …but little Zara is one fortunate little girl ….she is absolutely adored by her beautiful mama ….and her camera shy daddy!

Newborn | Baby Shamir & Big Sis, Sara

I always love to watch my clients families grow so when Shanaaz told me that baby No 2 on was the way just after I did Sara’s first birthday photos …I was excited for them! And I loved meeting Baby Shamir and seeing Sara in her role as a big sister! I have to be honest, Sara stole the show …but I have a feeling in a few more month Shamir will give her a good run for her money! Watch this space because I think Sara is going to be a supermodel …..I have never ever had a bad shoot with her …she just gets cuter and cuter …..and I am sure Shamir will follow suit! Matric Dance – Fairmont

I have known Kelce since the day she was born as she is my niece! She was the cutest of cutest baby, toddler, child! But now she is no longer cute …she is absolutelybreathtakingly beautiful! Yes, I could be biased …but I am sure that I am not!

Cannot believe that on my side of the family ..the youngest childs matric dance is now behind her …one last hurdle to do ….and then school will be behind her!

Cape Town Maternity shoot | Nicola & Marius | Durbanville

Nicola & Marius wanted to include their furry children in this maternity shoot! In fact Nicola didnt want a typical maternity shoot, she more wanted a shoot with their animals! I have a feeling Marius regretted that decision, especially when the dogs had a field day rolling in cow manure and then had to be transported back home in his clean car! Must admit I was very grateful that they werent coming home with me! This tiny tot is going to be loved and cherished without a doubt because Nicola and Marius are besotted with their animals …with lots of love to share …and loads more room for their little princess who should make her appearance around the end of May! Plus i would imagine she will be one of the most photographed babies as her mommy is also a fellow photographer!

Wedding : Fun & Games @ Cassia, Nitida

From my first contact with Gemma you could just feel this young lady’s excitement …she was actually beyond excited! She had met her Prince Charming and couldnt wait to walk down that aisle to exchange her vows with Chris (HC). And after photographing their engagement shoot (view here) I soon was just as excited. This was one fun very loved up couple ….and the excitiment was tangible and contagious! This was also the first engagement/couple photo session where the bridal party was included …but go take a peek and you will understand why! They all had fun! And I just knew that this was going to be a wedding all about fun & games!

And so their big day arrived! I made sure I was my usual early bird and arrived at the Evertsdal Guest House in Durbanville a full ten minutes ahead of time! And for the first time ever ….the bride was ready for me …hair and make-up was finished …in fact the make-up artist, Roxanne from Mac had already left!!! So we had plenty of time for bridal photo ..we had a blast! And because she was so early …we were finished early ..and Gemma ended up having to take a ride around Durbanville or end up arriving way before her guests and maybe even her groom! Although that wasn”t the case as HC was eagerly awaiting Gemma at Cassia Restaurant on the Nitida Wine Estate where their ceremony and reception was being held! Before I got to Gemma at the guesthouse, I had gone down to the restaurant to photograph the decor and was simply amazed at what an fantastic job My Pretty Vintage had done with the decor! And the cake just blended in with the decor perfectly …Linda from Sugar cakes had done a perfect marriage with the decor!

I asked Chris what he remembered most about the day ..and his reply was when Gemma walked up the aisle and he saw her for the first time in her wedding dress and how utterly gorgeous she looked and how she took his breath away! Gemma had chosen her perfect dress from Bridal Lane! Special mention also to her videographers, Tolken Media, I look forward to seeing thier special day on film! Part 2 can be viewed here!
Gemma skyping her grandparents in England who couldn”t make it to her wedding! This way they got to see how beautiful she looked!
