I met this beautiful Fire Fairy, Manuela, well over a year ago and as she explained her vision for her themed wedding, I couldnt help but be very excited! Her wedding was to be like no other wedding I had ever covered! And when she introduced me to her Prince, Burning Hands (aka J-C) I saw that their wedding was a combined vision! Both Fire Fairy and Burning Hands were very excited about their upcoming union and they were excited to bring together all their loved ones and make them part of their fantasy which was to take place in the land of the “Burning Sun, where the Fire Fairy had finally found her warmth! (Manuela is from Germany)
And so on the 7 December 2013 everyone gathered at the gorgeous Beloftebos to watch this union take place which had been prophesised in the stars but alas as is normal in all prophecies …..there comes the bad fairy or witch to test and to cause havoc ….and on this day ….that fairy/witch was Mother Nature herself ….and she wanted to test whether she could blow out the eternal flame and so she threw a curve ball with her Gale Force wind ….and with her utmost force she tried her level best to make the Fire Fairy cold and sad …but the Fire Fairy, Burning Hands, family and friends who had come from all over the world to see this prophecy come true …were steadfast in sitting through the gusts of cold, shivering wind …and as much as Mother Nature tried …and I have to say, she came close, luckily the fire embers continued to glow until Burning hands worked his magic and rekindled his Fire Fairy and she came forth in all her magnificence and burned hot and bright for their first dance,”Fire of Love” ..and made Mother Natures Gale Force wind her friend and allie…. spreading her warmth and energy to enevelope all her loved ones …but especially enveloping her great love, Burning Hands!
“We are here then to witness this union between Burning Hands and the Fire Fairy. Making their union official, their fire is no longer just a private one, but one that can bless the community and the land thus fulfilling the prophesy. Share then in the outpouring of love and freedom so that your flame of freedom may never dwindle and the fires of your love rekindle.” (This is a passage from their fairytale love story which was written and told/performed by their very talented and entertaining friend, Petro at the ceremony).
Manuela & J-C …your story is absolutely beautiful …and you have climbed huge mountains and obstacles to be together ….let no man/woman or Force of Nature put you asunder! May you go forth and fulfil the prophecy!

The Fire Fairy would like to thank the fairy dressmaker! No finer robe in all the kingdom could have been as pefect as this dress!
Gale force winds played havoc with all the plans for the wedding …but luckily no one let this ruin this fantastic wedding!
