This happy family is another family that I have had the pleasure of seeing them grow in front of my camera lens.  It all started when I did a newborn shoot for Lexi followed later by a newborn shoot for her brother Jake.

In fact, I was so chuffed when Lexi told me that I was going to be her photographer when she gets married and when she has a baby.  Needless to say, I think I will need a walking stick by then.

After spending time with this family, this quote comes to mind!  The greatest gift a father can give his children, is to love their mother.  On every occasion I have ever spent with this family, I have never doubted this.  However, I will be the first to admit, it is impossible not to love Kerry.  She emanates kindness, love and compassion.  She is a rare human being and her husband and children are privileged to be loved by this beautiful lady.  Her beauty truly shines from within.

Jaco is a perfect partner to her.  Their children are fortunate to have a father who spends time with them playing outside and being active with them.  He has the utmost patience with his children and often will playact with them as well as teach them new things.  There is nothing more lovely than to be able to see children who are happy, secure and confident.

This is an important stage in their development.  They learn from their parents.   Without a doubt, one day, Jake and Lexi are going to be the most loving partners and parents ever.  They have definitely had a great example.

It is always an honour to spend a few hours with these beautiful families.  They are always a trip down memory lane.

One & Only Cape Town

Leigh & Wade

This Waterfront wedding held at the One & Only, Cape Town  was quite special.  Leigh and Wade’s special day was held at the upmarket Hotel Resort in the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Cape Town.  The weather was perfect.  The service was outstanding and all the guests partied like rock stars due to the great vibes from the band, Jazzinco!  The ceremony was held alongside the resorts canal system which overlooks Table Mountain.  Energetic paddle boarders also glided  past the ceremony while luxury yachts can also be found  moored alongside the canal.

When Wade and Leigh originally booked me, they had another venue booked but due to unforeseen circumstances decided to rather have a waterfront wedding.   The exclusive One & Only Hotel Resort, offers wedding couples quite a different perspective to the normal vineyard or beach wedding.  Waterfront weddings are slowly but surely becoming far more popular.

Leigh and Wades’ introduction story is so sweet.  Their family friend  who is 90 years old thought they would be perfect for each other and so arranged to have the families around for supper and introduce the young people to each other.  She was obviously a very wise old lady as over time the romance definitely did blossom!  Needless to say, she was guest of honour at their wedding.  She was quite a character and told the MC off for telling everyone her age as she didn’t want the young men to know how old she was as she was definitely available!

Talking about available …I am also available to do weddings in Dubai as I am currently commuting between Cape Town and Dubai.  I really wouldn’t mind being booked to do a wedding at the One and Only in Dubai …just putting it out there!  So if you do by chance stumble across me …I am your girl!
