Stellenbosch House Dances occur just before the frenzy of frantic studying before the start of the final exams. Everyone takes this opportunity to let their hair down and party up a storm.

Stellenbosch is the heart of the winelands in the Cape and needless to say, the wine flows and the parties begin.

Stellenbosch House Dances normally take place at the end of the winter, just before Spring break. Always a great idea to get the excitement of the dances out of the way before the students settle down to some serious studying.

This gorgeous group had their pre-drinks at Peter Falke Wine Estate in Stellenbsoch. A gorgeous yet relaxed setting to the start of the evening. Everyone meets for a few drinks in a relaxed setting. All the dates are introduced to each other and as the wine flows, the laughter erupts and the fun begins.

Cape Town Wedding | Paul & Marcella | Webersburg, Stellenbosch – The Day before you came

I have to be honest ….I was very nervous about this wedding! When Paul told me that Marcella was pregnant when he booked me, I wasn’t too worried …as I too had walked down the aisle with a baby on board a few decades earlier ….but when he told me that she had three weeks until her due date after the wedding ….I started to sweat bullets …because, wow …that was close! But luckily everything went to plan! The first time I met Marcella was on her wedding day and boy …was she an absolute honey …she was warm, loving and beautiful. Marcella is from Brazil …and I can honestly see why they say all the most beautiful women come from there …because not only is she beautiful but so are her mom and two sisters ..mind you, Pauls mom and sister are stunners too …so this baby is going to be a handsome little man for sure! And I have to say as heavily pregnant as what Marcella was, she was one of the most beautiful brides ever! She glowed and was exotically sensual and when she loved ..she loved with all her heart ….Paul is one lucky man!

There were so many wonderful things I loved about this Cape Town wedding …firstly, I got to eventually meet and work with Maritjie Hurter ..and boy was I super impressed with her make-up! Secondly, loved the cake that Birdcage supplied! The Butler service was pretty awesome and the decor was simply beautiful! The entertainment was sublime and kept the crowd on the floor the whole night …..in fact its probably due to them that Marcella went into labour and gave birth to Connor at 5am the next morning! How was that for timing! She literally danced him out!! But I think what was even more special about this wedding was that it was proof that South Africa is working ….guests were an absolute mix of all South Africa cultures and it was special to see everyone partying and enjoying each others company together! It definitely proves that the younger generation are on the road to repairing this country …it filled me with hope! As Connor grows up …he will only read about the divisions of South Africa in the history books!

Not too sure how Paul is ever going to beat that weekend …it was his birthday on the Friday, got married on the Saturday and became a daddy on the Sunday …now thats what I call a busy weekend! Congratulations Paul and Marcella, you are going to be stunning parents to Connor!
