E-shoot – Carl & Elsa …Be my wife …Be my life!

 

I was honoured to photograph this very special E-shoot (engagement shoot) for  Carl & Elsa  ….and to capture nerves, excitement and happiness!  I was very impressed with how Carl went completely out of his comfort zone to make this proposal very special for his lady, Elsa!  Carl had never ever ridden a horse ….but because he knew Elsa had many precious memories of enjoying horse riding …he organised a horse ride along Noordhoek Beach on Saturday morning ….with me acting like a tourist …and his brother hiding in the car ….and his mother waiting anxiously next to the phone …waiting to be told that Elsa had said YES!  Both their families were in on it …and this made it really special because everyone had a part to play (Granny even lent him the ring until Elsa chooses the design)….and a huge celebration was being prepared behind the scenes for later that evening …where both families were celebrating!  And I can honestly say that I know why both families are celebrating …because they the families are both gaining a very special family member.  Carl & Elsa fit together like bread and jam ….sea and sand ….horse and carriage ……a perfect match!

Like I said …..very connected!
