A Durbanville family photoshoot is always special but its even more special when its one of your dearest friends and her family are in front of the lens. A wedding planner once did us a huge favour, she got Jilda and me to meet about quoting together for a wedding overseas. The wedding never happened but we took something far greater away that day …a special friendship.
Our friendship, to begin with, was all about photography but it has become so much more than that. Jilda has a heart of gold and nothing is ever too much effort for her to help you out.
I have huge respect for this beautiful Durbanville family. First and foremost, is their love for each other and being a strong unit. Secondly, I respect them for being involved in every aspect of their families lives. Pat and Jilda make every effort to be involved in their girls schooling and sports but not just that, they are also always there for their extended family as well as their friends. This is a family, that you cannot help but not just like but love too. You are always made to feel very welcome in their home.
A loving and generous Durbanvile Family
Not only are they a loving family unit, they are also generous with their time to their family and friends. Many an evening when I have been on my own that this generous family have welcomed me for dinner.
Jilda and I have also had many “photographic” adventures together. I have always enjoyed our adventures. I am sure that both of us having taken away stories that we can both tell our grandchildren one day.
I will always be truly honoured to be able to call her my friend!
