The Cellars Hohenort Wedding
Sarah & James
The Cellars Hohenort Wedding to die for! Wow, where do I begin. This beautiful Cellars Hohenort Wedding in Constantia, Cape Town was traditional, elegant, sophisticated and without a doubt one of the happiest weddings. Sarah is originally from Cape Town and went to school at Rustenberg Girls High School but upon meeting James she moved across the pond to Bath, England. I can definitely see why she left the beautiful shores of Cape Town to follow this quiet, unassuming but highly intelligent young man. He develops software to brain surgeons and yet you wouldn’t know it, if it hadn’t been for his proud new father-in-law mentioning it. Sarah, is a beautiful, warm young lady with the biggest laugh you can imagine ….and on the day of her wedding ..she laughed …and laughed ..and laughed! Her happiness was completely infectious. In fact, James mentioned in his speech that the first thing that captivated him upon meeting her was her laugh! Although I doubt if it was the only thing that captured his attention as she is definitely a beautiful and very bright young lady herself who does open-sea swimming and is a survivor of a shark attack. But I think the one thing that stands out for me about Sarah …is that she is a happy young lady with a great sense of humour. And humour is a great attribute to have when it comes to marriage!
This Cellars Hohenort Wedding was a destination wedding which was planned from across the oceans could not have been easy for Sarah and James but they did a sterling job. Friends and family travelled from the UK to attend this stunning wedding. But the day before the wedding, Cape Town was threatening rain….now as Cape Town was having a horrendous drought …we could hardly pray for it not to rain …so the attitude was …”let it be” but on the morning …Cape Town delivered a beautiful autumn day! A perfect backdrop to glorious day. A magnificent Cape Town, destination wedding was enjoyed by all the guests! One to be remembered for decades!
A big thank you to my son, Jarred for assisting me on this wedding and for capturing some stunning photos! One of my favourites of his, is where James has his hand on his forehead. Think he might give his old mum a good run for her money!
